Surviving, barely.

I do not feel like writing.  Hence, this will be short.  But, good things have happened this week.  The best being the weekend.  My mother and Rhonda came up for the weekend to go to the temple and to see me play the baritone in the Tuba-Christmas concert.  On Friday night we went to a sketch comedy show on campus, which I disliked, and then we went to Hugo, an utterly fabulous movie!  It was truly delightful.  The worlds created completely sucked me in, I may or may not have been just like the girl in the movie when I was younger,it was visually stunning, the actors were phenomenal, the 3D was utilized very well, and it was a beautiful tribute to film as well as a wonderful story.  Not that I liked it, or anything like that....

Saturday was busy, but fun.  Had a Tuba-Christmas rehearsal in the morning, the concert in the afternoon, callbacks for a show that I didn't make it into (which is good, as I am already rather busy next semester), went to lunch at the Texas Roadhouse, and then went to see White Christmas, which was good, but bland.  The best part of the day however, was waking up to my mother dancing around the room to my alarm.  It was a great way to wake up; much more exciting than usual.  Other than that, my week has been full of rehearsals, homework, stress about finishing everything, and watching White Collar.  And that is it, in a nutshell.

Though today was pretty good.  Church was excellent.  At least four recent converts bore their testimony in fast and testimony meeting—which brought the spirit and reminded me of my mission, the choir is doing pretty well (we perform next week), and I went to the Christmas Devotional tonight, with someone whom I quite like.  That made it doubly sweet, if I do say so myself.  It was, all in all, a pretty good day!  Here’s to surviving the next two weeks!
