THANKSGIVING!!!! In
short, it has been a marvelous week, though I have had a bit too much homework
for it to be a true vacation. In all
truth and honesty, I have probably stressed about my homework more than
relaxed. Ah well. In three weeks I will be finished with this
semester and will be able to come home and be a true lazy bum. Now….I just need to survive the next 21
days. Wish me luck.
Being home was wonderful.
Mom cooked fabulous meals, we put together our Christmas legos, decorated
for Christmas, watched movies, had good conversations, visited Grandma, saw
family, and I slept and did a bit of homework.
All of which were utterly wonderful things. We actually have had two Thanksgivings, ever
since Grandma went into the care center.
On Thanksgiving itself, we go to the care center, pay them for a meal,
and have Thanksgiving there. The
previous two years, the meal hasn’t been too bad, but, this year I was
distinctly reminded of my many years of eating cafeteria food. However, all of Dad’s side of the family made
it down to spend Thanksgiving with us, so it was quite fun to see
everyone.
On Saturday, Mom made Thanksgiving dinner, and it was
delicious. All in all, it has been a
good week. I am, however, looking
forward to the Christmas holidays!
Oooh! I talked to Dad
about getting a new laptop again, and he said go ahead. I have decided that I am not going to buy it
until just before I come home for Christmas, simply because I will want to play
with it, and right now, I just don’t have time.
Well…I think I shall sign off now. I decided to spend the night here, so I need
to get up around 5:30 so I can get back in time for classes. Wish me luck!
